You sit on toilet bowl and eat on table which are sinks or bathtubs.

Wonder if you all can still stomach your food the way I did.

The drawing on the wall of our hostel room was simply amazing.

We stayed in a room with the beach theme.

Really was such a pleasant stay.

MC 2 days

I was unwell yesterday so I went to the doctor. In addition to the pain I was suffering, I asked the doctor about the flashes of light I see recently on the left side.

I was unsure if it was something I should be worried about. I mean it started 2 weeks ago. I started seeing flashes on the left side once a while. When I mention this to the doctor, I was told to go immediately to the specialist for further examination.

So today I was all dressed up for work and left for NUH before school. After registration, I had to take a vision test. The normal one where we read the numbers and letters. Then I had a eye pressure test. I was shock when the machine blew air into my eye. I was so quick to close my eye I had to redo it again. SOB~~~

When I finally got to see the doctor, she did a check on my eye with a machine that reflect light into my eye. Torturous to have light shine into your eyes. She said on the surface it looks fine but just to be sure, she wants to look behind the pupil so I have tto have my eyes dilated.

I was send outside the room where the nurse drop 2 different eye drops into my eye. I felt my eyes swell up slowly. That's when my vision started to blur. I was told that is normal. I will get blur vision for about 6 hours. HORRIFIED! How am I to teach?

Anyway after sitting outside for half an hour, I was sent in again for the doctor to look into my eye. I sit by the same machine. She say I'm alright. Then she walked over to the next door Professor and send me over. They wore a helmet with a headlight and eye scanner sort of headgear and made me look at various direction while light shone right into my eye.

It was horrid. I realised that after my eyes were dilate, I was sensitive to light. I was given a MC as the sun is now too sensitive for me.

I took a cab home. As the sun shone into the cab, I couldn't open my eyes. I have never felt I wanted a sun glasses so much in my life. I covered my face to block out the light and I think the cab driver might have thought I was mad.

Anyway, the doctors couldnt find a reason to why I see flashes of light. I'm to go for another check up 1 month later. However, if I see floaters of vein like lines, I'm to go back immediately.

It seems flashes of light and floaters together are sort of warning signs for something more serious. I'm now praying the flashes will go away. I don't want to go through the whole process again.

New Years' Eve Adventure

Just some random shots when we were travelling.

This is our starting point.
We met at AMK interchange in the late afternoon.
After tea, we set off on our "adventure".
A trip to nowhere
As we are marking the end of 2008,
We decided to travel on various buses and alight 8 times.
Which bus we were to take and how many bus stops before we alight will depends on the lot we drew.

So we wrote numbers 1 to 8 on pieces of paper.
Each of use draw out a piece.
Starting from the eldest.
If the eldest draw a no. 3
We will take the 3 bus that arrives at the bus stop.
Then we add up the number each of us draw.
Eg. 3, 5, 7 totally 15
We will alight the bus after 15 stops.
We will take a photo there.
Then repeat this 8 times and see where we ended up.

Our 1st Stop

The sun was starting to set.

We alighted just opposite Changi Women's Prison.
I didn't know there was a prison specially for women.

Stop no. 6 Pasir Ris

We decided to travel by MRT instead.

By this time, Miss Elan sms to say she could join us.

According to the numbers we picked, we had to travel to Braddell to meet her.

Can you guess what are the possible numbers the 3 of us picked?

Stop no. 7 Braddell
By the time we arrived at Braddell, we were tired and hungry.

Miss Elan joined us and we have fantastic chicken rice at a nearby coffeeshop.

We also share a plate of satay and rojak.

It was late at night when we left for the last stop.

Stop no. 8

By some chance or luck, the last stop landed us at Upper Aljunied Road.

Which was the road very near to Delphine's house.

Hence, we all went to Delphine's house, paid her parents a visit and sat in her living room watching the count down on television.

Finally it was time to go home.

It was way pass midnight.

The taxi fare home was going to be terrible.

I called my brother.

He agreed to travel all the way to Aljunied and drive us all home.

How nice to have such a helpful and kind brother.

Bro, YOU ARE THE BEST!

FAREWELL MRS CANDY YIP

Many of you would know that Mrs Yip will be leaving Singapore to be with her husband.

Before she leaves, she wanted to do a geeky photoshoot with some of the teachers.

For her farewell party, we went to a studio and had our in-house photography, Hwee Ling to do a geeky photoshoot for us.

Candy has always been a fun loving character who isn't afraid to try out new fashion.

It was so fun when she made us dress "up" and suggested some of the poses we should do.

Her presence added so much joy to my time in De La Salle.

How did I spend my weekend?

It was spent in pure indulgence...

I started my Saturday with an afternoon facial.

Needed some face maintenance after neglacting it at the camp.

Following the facial, I went to the Jurong East Library.

I borrowed 2 storybooks.... which I read on Sunday.

After the library, I proceeded home to pack my things to meet the girls for dinner.

We had dim sum dinner.

It was a spread !

All that we ordered!

We each ate one plate of this! YUMMY!

Was trying this camera trick that I've read on the internet.
It makes me feel dizzy looking at it.
However, it makes one feel as it the world is moving by and Delphine is totally absorb in eating her porriage. Unaffected by all that is around her.

After dinner, we went to Delphine's house to play Monopoly.
Can't believe, right?
A group of teachers reliving our childhood days.
I was the overall winner.

I LOVE MONOPOLY (now that I've won)
(Used to lose to my cousins everyweekend)

We slept at 3am and at 8.30am, Delphine's mother
invited us to join her family for breakfast.
So we all washed up and went out for breakfast.

Just another day

This is a scrapbooking layout I did for my class.

All the teachers were encourage to create either a hardcopy or a softcopy page for our pupils.

I wanted to make one for my basketball team as well.

However, one page like that took me many hours to complete.

To all my darling basketball girls, don't worry, Miss Chang still loves you!

Basketball training for P5 resumes on the 6 Nov, P6 basketball girls are welcome to join that training.

Lastly, P6 basketball players with intention to join either Unity Sec, please let me knw.

The school has welcomed you to join their Nov and Dec training.

This morning, a group of us went for a game of paintball.

I think for Lian Jia it was more like PAIN ball.

Paintball is a game which u use a "marker "(looks like a gun) to shoot little yellow balls of paint at your opponent.

To win, you need to be the 1st team to get your own team's flag and sponge brick back to the base.

You shoot the paint balls at opponents to stop or slow them down.

When hit by the balls, you have to run back to the base with your hand on your head before continuing the game.

When shot at a near distance, you will suffer very bad bruises.

When shot from a further distance, you get a 'OUCH" sensation.

When shot in the eye, you will be blind so always keep you mask on.

On the 2nd round, we had to pick out our flag and brick before an assigned person can plant another flag in the center to win.

Poor Lian Jia was within short shooting range from the opponents as she was the one to plant the flag in the middle.

Lian Jia was ALL SMILES as she proudly shows off her wound.

Unfortunately for her, the skin tore at the contact point.

It wasn't just a simple bruise.

My Cousin, Diane's Wedding

I noticed that the last dish, dish 9 was CHINESE TEA.

I thought I had tea through the night?

My cousin, Diane, the beautiful bride.
She was wearing her dinner gown.
A rather sweet looking dress which flaunted her slender figure perfectly.

My granny was left alone at the VIP table when all the rest went around taking table picture.

I went to accompany her.

Since I recently started on photography.

I wanted to do a collection of aunties, uncles and cousin photos.

Then I had an idea.

How about a competition between my aunties and uncles for the most ROMANTIC couple photo.

I pity them to have a niece with mischief in her blood. (ME!)

One of my aunties used to call me the lifewire of the family.

Don't blame me, I inherited it from my mother.

I heard she was quite a handful when she was younger.

Outing during the holidays

Outing with My Dear Friends in Celebration of my Birthday

Shirin made a ribbon holder for me though initially I had no idea what that was.

Amelia gave me a bottle of 300+ stars with her well wishes written on 100 of those stars.

I was thinking to myself, no way I'm going undo these beautiful stars just to find that 100 well wishes.

Being awared of how much affiliation I've with luck, I decided against the gamble and left all the stars safely in the heart-shaped bottle.

I would upload those gifts at a later date.

We went for the long craved steamboat.

After our hot soup, we ended out meal with some cold and sweet desserts.

My bday celebration during the holidays~

Happy Birthday to me~~~

Sorry, I'm not going to tell you how old I'm.

The day after my birthday, I was invited to Elizabeth's house for a meal.

I arrived there in the evening feeling really ill.

My nose was flowing non-stop and my eyes were teary.

However, I was glad I went as the food was fantastic.

Special thanks to Elizabeth's mummy who cooked us an awesome meal.

I think had at least double servings of every dish!

I'm sure all who turned up had a very satisfying meal.

Thanks Elizabeth and Mummy, Delphine, Wai Kit, Charles, Amy and your children for being at the party.

Thanks for the flowers too.

Absolutely gorgeous.

I may reconsider liking purple because of those flowers.

Thanks Del for dividing the cake for all of us.

I was grateful, I didn't have to do it myself.

The cake would have turned out into a disaster.

Yesterday, I was out with girls to watch Own Time Own Target at the Esplande.

It was a hilarious drama.

I thought it would be a short drama.

I didn't expect it to be 3hrs!

It was about army life.

I'm sure many gentleman in the theatre could relate to the jokes.

After the show, we had dinner at Sour Puss.

We sat there till 9p.m.

And was entertained with a fantastic display of fireworks by Korea.

That was my 4th time watching fireworks in Singapore this year.

No matter how many times I watch it, I would still love it.

After the fireworks, we went for dessert.

Eliz recommanded a shop at Esplande.

Chocolate by the Bald Man.

What a funny name for a shop, right?

However, the chocolates were heavenly.

Or shall I say sinful?

Cultural Night decorations

It was all hard work.

Who said making balloon decorations was an easy task?

Almost 30 teachers were involved making the flower balloons on the handrail.

At first it was fun when we keep hearing the popping of burst balloons.

Then it started to get frustration if you were the one who "popped" your balloon.

Trust me... it was a painful time for us.

Our fingers were hurting so much from tying the balloons.

I realised that to tie a balloon requires some skill and strength.

When our hands started to hurt, our sweet Mr Cheng offered to tie the balloons for us while we twist them into shape.

Thanks Mr Cheng.

Of course besides making those flower decorations, we learn to make some other decorations.

We took a bus to Sentral to buy our tickets up to KL from Melaka.

We tried out their local bus service.
They had a bus conductor who sold tickets to us.
It was as if we went back in time when we were still kids.
We bought a RM1 bus ticket which took us to Sentral Bus Interchange.

It looks just a box, a moving box.... It is a box...

A visit to the Khoo's Kongsi. It is a hugh place, beautifully decorated.
The weather was so hot, I wanted to buy the beautiful umbrella I was holding.
In the end, I only bought the paper fan. =p

The tram up to Penang Hill.
It was the most suffocating ride I ever took.
The carriage was so packed.
However, the view up from Penang hill was breath-taking.
So the whole night... I wasn't breathing right. Muahahah!

That night, we decided to pamper ourselves and put on facial mask.
It is good to care for our skin whenever we are on a trip.

Dinner outing to watch fireworks a 2nd time...

I was at Glutton's bay last Saturday. I was having my dinner with these wonderful friends and enjoying the fireworks again. I love the fireworks alot. Notice how the lights shine brightly and die off quickly. I guess sometimes in life, we shine and sparkle for a while and burn out.
I also know that during the darkest hour of the night, the stars in the sky are the brightest.

Jesus, I love You.

A kiss for the bride!

Darling Jerin's Wedding!

She is so pretty in her wedding gown!

The next day after her wedding was Chuay Yen's wedding.

Unfortunately, Chuay Yen's wedding pictures were not taken by my hp but all in Yati's camera.

Can't wait to see them.

Chuay Yen, like Jerin look absolutely stunning in her wedding gowns.

Went to watch this group called the Kransky Sisters.
Their performance was hilarious!
They could also really sing and play their instrument and percusssion well.
Only problem was that their Australian accent was really strong and some jokes were native jokes pertaining to their country.
Still, I had a good time there with Elizabeth.
As you can see, their make up n dressing is really atrocious.
Thick eyeliner and straight hair! Opps! I fall into the same catergory too!

Table at Sour Puss.

I had fun that night.
After the Kransky sister concert, we had dinner at "Sour Puss".
The tables were decorated with pictures of either pink or black cats.
We order a "Two-some meal".
Gobbled the meal heartily as we watch the drama around us.
As we sat there, a snatch theif stole a lady's bag right "below our noses".
Her husband called the police and they were questioning the witnesses.
Unfortunately we didn't see anything to be of any help.
Then behind us a group was singing a happy birthday song.
Such a irony that we sat between a celebration feast and cause of grief.
Ironic.. that's life.

Summon to my aunty's birthday party right after the camp

Immediately after my camp, my mother "ordered" me to go to my aunty's birthday party at Upper East Coast. I just came from the east back to the west and I have to travelled to the East. I was so exhausted from the camp and was feeling so unwell.

However, considering that my aunty dote on my so much, somehow I managed to survive the trip to my cousin's house for the party.

My aunty looked very happy to see me. I was glad I made the trip for her.

I was ill through this camp but I promised to help out and intend to keep my word so there I was at the camp.

When reaching the campsite, I've already lost part of my voice.

I'm disappointed I couldn't join in the cheering.

Just another crazy day in school

The happy family. Really incredible how we pulled off the whole play with only 1 rehearsal just before the actual performance. I was glad most of the pupils liked it. Was fun performing as the kampong girls playing Pepsi Cola 1,2,3 and Eagle and mother hen. Such a great team the P2 teachers are! I LOVE working with all of you!

Kid's Kampong

My 1st trip with Primary 2I.

It was a great trip! So much fun and laughter.

Those beautiful smiles on your faces I could still recall.

It was also hilarious to see those horrified expressions when you had to touch the little animals.

The fishing was extremely fun.

Going around the little drains with a tiny net and bucket.

Having to battle those quick little fish was quite a challenge for some of you.

Not to worry, Miss Chang to the rescue!

I'm glad I managed to help some of you who caught nothing.

I was extremely pleased when some of you offered to give those fish you had caught to those who barely caught anything.

You were so well-behaved.

I'm really proud of you all!
